MLB Radar

  • MLB wRC+ and EAF update every 5 minutes (must refresh)

  • MiLB wRC+ and EAF are updated every Sunday night

  • The cumulative MiLB performance color assignment is changed to clear in MLB column once demotion back to minors seems unlikely or if veteran status has been fulfilled (appear in MLB game in at least 3 different years or above age of 30)

  • The salary overwrites the school or country once staying in the MLB seems likely

  • Order of teams is based on winning percentage

Foreign Radar

  • NPB and CPBL use OPS as the offensive metric and ERA as the pitching metric

  • NPB and CPBL stats are automatically updated daily (import link tends to fail at certain times of the day)

  • KBO and Mexican League use wRC+ and EAF as metrics

  • KBO and Mexican League stats are updated every Sunday night

  • Only includes players on teams that have played organized pro baseball at one point

Independent Radar

  • All leagues use OPS and ERA as metrics

  • Stats for all leagues are automatically updated daily (import link tends to fail at certain times of the day)

  • Rosters are very fluid and may not be 100% up to date all the time

  • Only includes players on teams that have played organized pro baseball at one point

Details

Color Code

  • There are two sets of color-code (see Radar Key for details):

    • Color scale based off of Major League performance in current or most recent year

    • Color assignment based off of cumulative minor league performance

Statistics

  • MLB, NPB, and most Independent team stats update automatically every 5 minutes

  • Minor League, KBO, and Mexican League team stats update weekly

  • wRC+ used for hitters & ERA averaged with FIP is used for pitchers

Hyperlinks

  • Throughout the radar pages, you can click on links that will bring you to player and team pages on Baseball Reference, Fangraphs, MLB.com, MiLB.com, Roster Resource, and Spotrac.

Pedigree

  • The round drafted and school information (for domestic talent) is added to show the player's pedigree

  • The Schools Key shows the abbreviations used for schools, along with their division

Years of Control

  • This number shows the years of control until a player is eligible for free agency

  • Looking at this column makes it easier to see a team's winning window

Financials

  • The approximate total payroll is calculated with the player salaries and additional financial information already on the team page

  • The approximate total payroll is divided by the cumulative performance to create a score that shows how efficient a team is with their spending
